Product Name: E-Cadherin Antibody [ECD1-1]
Species Reactivity: Human
Tested Applications: IF, IHC-P, WB
Applications: Western blot: 0.5-1 ug/mlImmunofluorescence: 0.5-1 ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (FFPE): 0.5-1 ug/ml for 30 min at RT (1)Prediluted format: incubate for 30 min at RT (2)Titering of the E-Cadherin antibody may be required for optimal performance.1. FFPE testing requires sections to be boiled in pH6 10mM citrate buffer for 10-20 minutes, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes, prior to staining.2. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.
User Note: Optimal dilutions for each application to be determined by the researcher

Official Symbol: CDH1
Geneid: 999
Background: Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. E-Cadherin/CDH1 is involved in mechanisms regulating cell-cell adhesions, mobility and proliferation of epithelial cells. It has a potent invasive suppressor role. It is a ligand for integrin alpha-E/beta-7.
