Product Name: GM-CSF Antibody (biotin)
Species Reactivity: Rat
Tested Applications: ELISA, WB
Applications: ELISA:Direct:To detect Rat GM-CSF by direct ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 – 1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Rat GM-CSF. SandwichTo detect Rat GM-CSF by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 – 1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with ProSci’s Polyclonal Anti-Rat GM-CSF (38-273) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Rat GM-CSF.Western Blot:To detect Rat GM-CSF by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 – 0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant Rat GM-CSF is 1.5 – 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
User Note: Centrifuge vial prior to opening.

Background: GM-CSF is a hematopoietic factor that is produced by activated T cells, B cells, mast cells, macrophages, fibroblasts and endothelial cells. In addition to supporting colony formation of granulocyte/macrophage progenitors, GM-CSF is a growth factor for erythroid, megakaryocyte and eosinophil progenitors.
