Product Name: Endostatin Antibody
Species Reactivity: Human
Tested Applications: ELISA, WB
Applications: ELISA:Indirect:To detect hEndostatin by indirect ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5 – 2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hEndostatin.SandwichTo detect hEndostatin by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5 – 2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with our biotinylated Anti-Human Endostatin as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hEndostatin. Western Blot:To detect hEndostatin by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 – 0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hEndostatin is 1.5 – 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
User Note: Centrifuge vial prior to opening.

Background: Endostatin, a cleaved product of the C-terminal domain of collagen XVIII, is an endogenous angiogenesis inhibitor. It was originally found in conditioned media from a murine endothelial tumor cell line, hemangioendothelioma. Endostatin inhibits endothelial cell migration (in vivo and in vitro) and induces endothelial cell apoptosis. It inhibits tumor growth and impairs blood vessel maturation in wound healing. Endostatin has an important role in endothelial cell adhesion and cytoskeletal organization. Endostatin can be found in vessel walls (elastic fibers) and basement membranes.
