Product Name: FSH-beta Antibody [SPM107]
Species Reactivity: Human
Tested Applications: Flow, IF, IHC-P
Applications: Flow Cytometry: 0.5-1 ug/million cells in 0.1mlImmunofluorescence: 1-2 ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (FFPE): 0.5-1 ug/ml for 30 min RT (1)Prediluted format : incubate for 30 min at RT (2)Optimal dilution of the FSH-beta antibody should be determined by the researcher.1. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM Citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. 2. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.
User Note: Optimal dilutions for each application to be determined by the researcher

Background: This mAb reacts with a protein of 22kDa, identified as beta sub-unit of FSH. It does not cross react with the alpha sub-unit. Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) is a hormone synthesized and secreted by gonadotrophs in the anterior pituitary gland. In the ovary, FSH stimulates the growth of immature Graafian follicles to maturation. As the follicle grows, it releases inhibin, which deactivates the FSH production. In men, FSH enhances the production of androgen-binding protein by the Sertoli cells of the testis and is critical for spermatogenesis. FSH and LH act synergistically in reproduction. FSH is a useful marker in the classification of pituitary tumors and the study of pituitary disease.
