Background: Flow Cytometry Recognizes human IL-8 receptor, type B.The IL8RB is a Chemokine Receptor also known as type 1 interleukin-8 receptor. There are three interleukin-8 receptors on chromosome 2: IL8RA (type 2), IL8RB (type 1), and a pseudogene. Results from mouse knock-out studies suggest that IL8RB may inhibit the expansion and development of neutrophils and B cells (Cacalano et al., 1994). IL8RB is a high-affinity receptor for IL8, and for GROalpha, beta, and gamma (Ahuja and Murphy, 1996).
